The SPEAKER/SOUNDER-WE replicates the chime, entry/exit, alarm, fire and even PA tones of the control panel to keep the user completely aware of any system activity while they’re on-site. The in-built bright courtesy light of the SPEAKER/SOUNDER-WE will provide visual indication of system activity; illuminating the entrance as the user enters/exits, strobing in the event of an alarm activation, slow flashing for a chime and illuminating constantly as a safety light in the event of a fire. This can also be useful for deaf or hard of hearing users.

Lighting a path if the power fails

In the event of a mains power fail, the SPEAKER/SOUNDER-WE’s bright courtesy light will illuminate for up to 30 minutes. So, in the event of a power outage the SPEAKER/SOUNDER-WE will provide a comforting light for the user; resetting back to normal operation as soon as the power is restored. Don’t leave users in the dark.

Easy installer setup

The SPEAKER/SOUNDER-WE is easy to set up and configure, but it can also be adjusted at a later stage by the user should their preferences change. Volumes can be set in five increments and the bright courtesy light can even be activated or deactivated to suit. It’s completely configurable.

Aspherical Lens

In the KX Series, the distance between the pyro-electric sensor and the lens is identical for each detection zone. This eliminates distortion and provides excellent focused zones.

In traditional detectors the lens is made in a flat form and bent into a cylinder. Therefore the distance between the pyro-electric sensor and the lens varies for each detection zone. This causes distortion and unfocused zones, reducing reliability.

Digital Temperature Compensation

When the product is used in a hot environment this technology digitally adjusts the detector’s sensitivity allowing it to maintain its range even when the background room temperature is almost equal to the external body temperature of 32ºC (internal body temperature = 37ºC).

The KX10DPWE consists of a PIR, which works by constantly monitoring the infrared energy levels around a room. The detector will recognise any changes caused by the entry of an intruder and inform the panel to go into an alarm condition.
